Most of the time I don't even turn on the news anymore because it is so negative. I am reminded of the scripture in Psalm 25:4-5 that is such a comfort to me. "Show me your ways O Lord. Teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me. For You are God my Savior and my HOPE is in you all day long." When I am focused on Him there is peace admist the troubles of the day.
